Whether you call Bay Area Cancer Connections or visit in person, we’ll help you take the steps you need to face your cancer. We’re here to give compassionate support, help you understand your diagnosis, and connect you with others who are facing the same journey. Below are programs and services that we often recommend to clients who are newly diagnosed.

Helpline volunteers support clients by listening to their questions and concerns, providing information about BCC’s services, and matching clients with the services that will help them most.

Buddy Program

Buddies for Breast or Ovarian Cancer 

The Buddy Program connects you with someone who has had a similar breast cancer or ovarian cancer diagnosis or treatment experience. We match you, as best we can, by age, diagnosis, or any other aspect of your situation that is important to you. Buddies are available to share their cancer experience, provide emotional, practical, and informational support. You can request a Buddy at any point along your journey.
